Stator Electrical Fault Detection in DFIGs Using Wide-Band Analysis of the Embedded Signals From the Controllers

This article presents a novel study of stator electrical faults detection using the wide-band spectral signatures in controller signals doubly fed induction generators (DFIGs). The possible content are first defined with set analytical equations order to characterize and their correlation operating conditions including faults. A DFIG harmonic model laboratory test-rig used validate derived equations. calculated, simulated experimental results good agreement. Furthermore, it is shown that fault related carry considerable diagnostic potential for recognition faults, therefore, can potentially be advance embedded techniques.
